Lajares is a laid-back village in the north of Fuerteventura, minutes from the island's best wind and wave spots. North-shore reefs and beach breaks for surfing; cross-shore trade winds at the nearby flat-water and wave spots for kite and wingfoil; warm water year-round and 300+ days of sun a year.

Best of all, it's a real village — not a resort. Surf shops, bakeries, a tight watersports community and a famous Saturday market, with everything you need within a short walk.

Fly into Fuerteventura Airport (FUE), about 35 km south of Lajares.

• Airlines: Ryanair, easyJet, Vueling, Jet2, TUI and many seasonal European routes, plus Binter for inter-island hops.
• Rental car (easiest): roughly a 35-minute drive. We recommend cicar.com — local, reliable and fairly priced, with a desk right at the airport.
• Taxi: about €45–55 to Lajares.
• Bus (guagua): connections via Corralejo or Puerto del Rosario are possible but slower — a car is far more practical for reaching the spots.

Yes — bikes can be waiting for you right here at the guest house. Rent one for a single day of exploring, or for the whole week. Just let us know when you book and it'll be ready on arrival.

All within a short walk: bakeries and brunch spots, tapas bars, pizza, a few great restaurants, two supermarkets, surf shops, and a popular Saturday-morning market. For a bigger night out or more shopping, Corralejo is about 15 minutes by car.
